Day on the Mississippi

From Mississippi R...

On Saturday, Tammy and I met Kathy and Dorothy for a long-anticipated paddle on the Mississippi River backwaters near Nelson, WI. What a beautiful day! The weather was made-to-order and the scenery breathtaking. Tammy and I even managed to convince the other two that we actually knew where we were going while on the water (we knew we weren't lost, but we didn't exactly know where we were, either ;).

We're hoping more of you can join us for our upcoming trips. Because of low water levels, we may have to make some venue changes, so keep checking here for up-to-date plans.

Click on the picture to view the entire Mississippi River album. Enjoy!

What an awesome day this was, in spite of the snakes! I really enjoyed meeting & kayaking with you Kathy & Dorothy! Here's to future excursions together.

The weather was fantastic, the vistas breathtaking, and the camaraderie excellent. A banner day for paddling.

We paddled the Garden of Eden - the source of all life - or so it seemed. It was truly a wonderful day of paddling and making new friends.

So many rivers - so little time!
