Greetings Ladies!
First I want to thank all of you that made it to the Planning Pow Wow yesterday. It was a huge success, in my opinion. We managed to plan 5 different outings, share stories of trips past, and enjoy a meal together. It doesn't get any better than that! Well, had we actually gotten out in our boats together, then it may have been better : )
To follow is a tentative list of activities from April to September. While looking at my notes from the meeting, I noticed that the trips planned are all very different from what we've done in the past. There are fewer planned river trips, more lake paddling, and some camping! I'm very excited for the camping, to say the least! Mark your calendars ladies! Please remember, we are also expecting to go on short evening trips, and Sunday afternoon trips are always nice. So if ever you feel the urge for a quick pick-me-up paddle, shoot out an email to the Divas and we'll get it lined up.
On to the calendar.....
April 12 - Women in Nature Expo
Beaver Creek Nature Reserve, Fall Creek - more details to come.
May 17th - Sunrise Paddle
Hosted by our own Gigi Stafne (owner of MiZiZak Kayaks) - Larrabee Lake, New Auburn.

July 19/20 - Flambeau River, North Fork
Oxbo Area to Camp 41 landing, 18+ miles. This trip will include a couple of options. Paddle from the 'put in' at Dix Dock Landing and end your trip at HWY W near the state Forest HQ, or choose to camp with us, and then continue on to the Camp 41 'take out' on Day 2. This will be kayak camping at its best! Again, details to be announced.
August - Family Camp - Washburn County near Totagatic County Park.
A chance to bring our families out with us. Camping, paddling, fishing, swimming...Primitive camping, some electric sites available. More info to come.
September 25-28 - A Fall Diva Retreat
A couple of ideas were thrown around. Nothing firmed up yet. Gigi is involved in the Northern Lights Resort Autumn Retreat, and let me tell you, it sounds fantastic! We are gathering info on this and will pass it along soon, very soon.
